Welcome to "On Safari in Southern Africa".

Since early childhood I've been traveling with my parents to many places in South Africa and abroad. But it is in Southern Africa where I want to spent most of my travel time. We've visited several caravan parks, National Parks and far away places but that was before the Internet. Since 1999 I've started to document my travel experiences mainly after my first 4x4 found it's home on my drive way.

With my experiences and the fact that I live in South Africa, I would like to provide a service to those who want to visit Southern Africa on a "shoe string" budget in either groups or family.

Is it better to travel on your own in a rented car, organized tours, or buy a car and DIY (do it yourselves) It all depends on the time available because Southern Africa is huge and distances between interesting places are great. I will provide information as far as possible on this region as well as information regarding camping gear, where to go and what to see. If you need more information not on the following pages, please e-mail me and I will try to supply you with the necessary information and service.

Then there is "Project Petit Trot" Started in May 2000 when two French tourists, after a years communication via the internet, arrived in South Africa. Hopefully this project will bring me closer to you the tourist in the near future, thanks to Severine and Henri from Nice, France.

Click on the buttons below and let me be your guide to the wonderful world of Southern Africa.
